... sauce. The beef was incredible again! This was followed up with a plate of tempura, with prawns, fish, squid, mushrooms and peppers. Our next course was a plate of cold soba noodles which were dipped into a delicious dipping sauce before eating them. The final savoury course, was rice with crab and bamboo shoots. ... and pickles. It was nice food, but hardly seemed necessary after so many other courses! Desert was strawberry mouse and a pistachio ice cream, that was served in a typically impressive dish, but was just ok. All in all, it had been an awesome experience to eat such an ornately presented meal, whilst dressed in our Yukata, but I don't think we were really in the mood for that type of food after such a long day. ... onsen was calling me. I had loved them last time in Japan. I went in the indoor one first... nothing like a soak in mid forties water to sooth & relax. Then I went into the outdoor onsen. The cool wind above and piping hot water was so invigorating! I even sat outside the water to cool down a little (in 9 degrees in the nude). Very refreshing!
