In my previous story, I wrote that I won't be able to do all the things that I want to do. That doesn't take away the fact that there are a couple of activities that I believe I HAVE to do when I am in Japan. We are excited to be in Kyoto now. Kyoto used to be Japan's capital ( for over a thousand years) before Tokyo became capital in 1869. So there is so much culture and history here. Kyoto was a contender for the atomic bomb drop, however the only reason it didn't get chosen was because one of the American decision makers had had his honeymoon here and said Kyoto was a rich cultural center and not to bomb it!
