... across a batting cage. It was out of place for the area. We both gave it a whirl. 25 balls for 300 yen. I went twice and tired myself out. It was pretty fun. I did laundry once I got back to K's. While I was waiting I chatted with a Thai girl named Pang. I wanted to go to the onsen in the hotel nearby before it closed at 12:00 am. It was really dark out and I never found it. We left the hotel to drive up partway to Mt Fuji. No sooner than leaving Tokyo, we were caught up in a traffic jam for the next 30 minutes. It was rather foggy when we got to around the mountain. We find a small noodle restaurant where we enjoy a ...

We find a small road leading towards the lake and there even is a large parking lot, couple of small restaurants and a small shrine. This is apparently THE spot from where to view Mount Fuji, when he is visible that is. There is also a large rock with a story carved in it in Japanese characters and there is soft music playing from somewhere near that stone. Too bad we can't ...

... accompanied by a seismic boom, kind of like a thunder clap. With all the volcanic and seismic activity in the Hakone area that comes as no surprise. Between 4-7 PM they serve free champagne in the lounge of the hotel, there are quite a few guests taking the hotel up on their offer. Dinner at the hotel, we enjoy a nice dinner in their French Restaurant. In the tatami room a comfy futon is made up for Juliet, we all enjoy a good night ...
