... that we have heard seen lightning and heard the thunder less than 5 seconds apart (meaning the lightning is within a mile of here, yet the endless string if airplane departures and arrivals has continued uninterrupted. This is incredible - I can't believe that anyone wants to fly so badly that they would takeoff in these conditions.

... built by Boeing in WWII. Ironically, it was the only Boeing-built plane in "Boeing Square", a large exhibition area sponsored by my company. Alex and I clambered through the plane, and he was impressed by the spartan conditions available to the crew. Most of all, he realized how lonely the tailgunner's position would have been.

We had a nice 3 days in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The town is named after Chief Oshkosh of the Menominee tribe. The town has a lot of old buildings and homes to look at. I was able to play pickleball and really enjoyed getting back on the court. There is Lake Winnebago and the Fox River with the town built around the shores. This is a nice town of little over 66,000 people and the summers are nice but ...
