... set off for Buffalo Trace. This distillery is not on the official bourbon trail though as this was recommended by several locals we figured best we dropped by, and glad we did. It was by far the best tour, even though we knew inside out the science behind making bourbon, the town spirit was felt in this distillery, even more so when we were taken inside one of the halls to see the workers single-handedly prepare bottles of bourbon, from sticking on the labels ...

... there … and I did. The campground was full so I parked in the rustic camping area (meaning no hookups) and spent the night.

I realized when I was going through my photos that I took very few photos in Tennessee or Kentucky! I was pushing pretty hard, the weather was awful and I was on very busy roads where there was nowhere to pull over.
