    ... we released the furr-kids from Alcatraz a week early!

    We had an amazing, wonderful holiday and despite the undignified ending, will be off again as soon as we can manage it. Oh, for early retirement. Or becoming independently wealthy...

    ... We are not allowed any lights or cameras at this point. The stars and the nights sky are amazing, we have never seen it look so beautiful before. And it is really lighting the beach up so we can see a little better. We watch on as group number three's turtle is heading back down to the water, we see her make her way down the beach before swimming out. She is huge!

    Our turtle has made its way up the beach and is digging her nest, we are told it is a loggerhead turtle. ...

    ... again in St.Lawrence and spent 5 days there before heading down to Gin Gin and then out to Mount Perry to start our next house sit. We were sitting for Lyn and Lin (Linton) which for us was a first as Lyn was there all the time as she was not well enough to travel. The poor woman had an 8 kilogram ovarian tumor the size of a football and the surgery to remove it damaged organs and has kept her quite unwell. We had to help her look after 17 chickens, ...

    ... Society in 1995 where thousands of dollars were spent refurbishing the structure where it now sits. The original hexagonal base still sits in its original position next to the structure built in 1972.
