... people at this campsite were much friendlier, even the wildlife were friendly with cockatoo's and parrots coming to see us. Paul started to feed them crisps and we were bombarded by loads of them, it was like Hitchcocks 'Birds'. Some of the lads had to make a trail of crisps and lead them away from the tents into the town centre. We'd got food to do a BBQ that night so ate and drank by the sea until it got too cold where we moved into the big tent to booze ...

... be driving along the beach but with the sand dunes standing a butt load taller than Betty it was a very one viewed drive for most of it. Robe is a magical little place that has one of everything that you need. It is a one main street town with a population in winter of 1,500 which stretches out to 15,000 in summer. ... the forest & got some amazingly close shots. They then noticed me & attacked - there's no better word for it. I ran for my life, & fell off a cliff. I got attacked by a kangaroo when I was a kid - so there's history there. The kangaroos seemed pretty satisfied & hopped along on their merry way probably having a right laugh, as did a few spectators - again. I sat in a heap inspecting the growing collection of bruises/scratches etc. & concluded I was fine. ...

... It is one in a line of more than 30 volcanoes that stretch from Colac to the East to Mount Gambier in South Australia. Artefacts found in the volcanic ash layers show that Aborigines were living in the area at the time of the eruption. This area including Tower Hill is part of the UNESCO-endorsed Kanawinka Geopark.
