... the touristy thing to do in Killarney don't you know! We trotted past the race track, which was built on landfill and has a 9 hole golf course in the middle!. We stopped at Ross castle, the scene of many a wedding photo as we found - at least 4 weddings stopped by while we were there!<br><br>So tonight is the last supper with the tour group. Dinner with everyone then out for drinks - just for something out of the ordinary! <br><br>XO

We spent the day driving from Dublin to Blarney and Killarny. All we wanted to do in Ireland was kiss the Blarney Stone in Blarney, but unfortunately we are not wired to take long walks in the pouring rain so the most we could do was pull upto the gates and creep. I don't remember ever being so grumpy and sleep-deprived in my entire life. We found out that other people who hadn't booked private rooms had been offered them, so we were starting to get very frustrated with the whole Shamrocker thing. He was extremely good, but I&#8217;m sure the poor kid felt a little embarrassed at having to put on a circus act of sorts for his mum&#8217;s paying guests. And so on later reflection it turned out that this was to be our bronze medal winning accommodation, and for better or worse had just enjoyed our top three favourite Irish B&amp;Bs in three successive nights.<br>

For my only full day in Killarney, I chose to spend my time out of town, having seen enough of it the previous afternoon. I headed out on a bus tour--the canned way to see Ireland (or any other country), but one that's essential at times for travellers without their own transportation.
