    Our first stop on the road to South America was an overnight in Dallas, Texas on Spencer's B-day. So, I scouted out a famous BBQ place that was close to the airport and our hotel - Hard Eight Texas BBQ was it! We ordered a tray of meat - seriously. We chose a sampler tray of different meat including; beef brisket, chicken jalapeno poppers, spicy sausage, and some beef skewers plus we added corn on the cobb. Everyone's favorite was the beef ...

    ... events. They had a tag attached to a calf and about 25 kids in the arena chasing to receive the tag from the calf. It was pretty funny! We made friends with the people next to us and met them outside after the rodeo. One of them competed in the rope and tie. It's amazing to see the rider lasso the calf so quick from the horse and immediately jump off while in motion to get the calf down and tie the hind legs.
