... park has extensive grounds, the campsites are located in 3 separate areas, and has several amenities including and nice pool and miniature golf course. The park has 100s of deer who wander around the campsites and people watch. We are now in the process of deciding whether to stay here another day, or move on to San Antonio. Let's see - Sunday crowds, or Monday fewer people. Decision is still out..............

Well we are 2 days out from flying out of Austin to my Wonderful summer in Tunisia. I am so incredibly restless it's not even funny. We left Spring under cloudy skies. As we headed west toward Austin, fog (or is that marine layer?) sets in. Makes for some interesting driving until we break out of it on the west side of Austin. We arrived in Texas in late April this year. The bluebonnets had already made their appearance and were fading. There were still plenty of brown eyed susans, indian paintbrushes and tons of orange flowers. We did find some bluebonnets up closer to Fredericksburg and also some fields of statis. (might not be spelling that one correctly). It is lovely to drive along the road ...
