    ... year.

Tracking east on highway 41 we drove through the Everglades, stopping at an Indian village for lunch - deep fried alligator was on the menu. Tip - it tastes like tough chicken.

Onwards through a terrific rainstorm we entered the Florida Keys - a chain of islands stretching in an arc southwest from the bottom of the mainland. There are 42 bridges forming the Overseas Highway which tomorrow will take us down to Key West.

We got lucky with the weather... It was supposed to rain a lot but so far, it has been pretty nice. We stayed in St. Petersburg for a night and are enjoying some beach/pool time in Naples.

It's pretty hot and humid here and we decided to rent a cabin for a few nights... sleeping in the tent is not really a treat :)

The library and YMCA were closed and all the beaches had expensive parking fees that we didn’t want to pay. We decided to drive into Naples and see if anything was going on there. We stopped at a beach and sun tanned a little bit before it got too breezy and cool. We parked closer to town and walked through the neighbourhood. Naples is a pretty rich community so the houses are ...

... to Atlanta because I felt so unsettled even though I love being in Naples. After much deliberation, I decided I was just going to feel bad for awhile, so I might as well feel bad in Naples where there is a beach.

Our barter housing arrangement has been extended. Thomas is now refinishing and staining the living room floor. We have moved down the street into another house and will return when he's done. Next it looks like he will remodel ...
