I know I am getting into the spirit of the South when I find a tick on Oscar. I remove it, of course, but the only thing in reach to disinfect it with is bourbon and that will do just fine!

Feel like wearing tweed today. This morning was a slightly slower start than usual. Nothing to do with last night's bourbon, of course, that is pure coincidence. I also have some work to do and once I finish that, I decide to only drive to Memphis ...

... to go! After dinner it's more Strolling on Beale with a wine taking in all the music and night life, I just love the feel of this place. We probably stand out in the crowd as tourists, there are not too many white people here, but I feel so comfortable and wish we had another night to come back again tomorrow night. The line up to get into Beale Street is now going a block in either direction, you have to see it to believe it. At three they get ...

Nashville bars and rock n' roll

... as this some of us also took part in the Cave of the winds tour where we got soaked down to our feet. Crossing the bridge over to Canada was quite something. The following day brought us to Cleveland, OH, and to be quite honest from what I saw it wasn't a great city. It was a very humid day and it is known as a 'working city'. A bit like Canary Wharf, it was very business-like and consisted of tall buildings and people in suits with briefcases. However, ...
