In Japan there is a type of rail ticket called the Japan Rail Pass. This has the potential to save a lot of money over the course of your journey. However it can only be bought if you are out of the country. I had left it too late and so struggled to get mine, leaving my plans all up in the air. Last night when we were chatting , I mentioned that it was forecast to snow, that was dismissed, no it won't snow.
