... arrived at 4pm where our shuttle to the hotel we booked was waiting and brought us to the hotel 10 min away. We checked in and than walked 5 min to a shopping mall where we walked around for a bit and than went to eat sushi's which were really good. Than we walked back and relaxed watching tv as we had to get up at 5 am tomorrow morning. 17th We got up, got some breakfast and got our shuttle to the airport. Later back in Bangkok we decided to see Bangkok nightlife. We went to Khao San which is the backpackers area and is known for cheap drinks and party street. We had some drinks from buckets which is about $4 NZD. See why it is popular with the backpackers.
Anyway after a few to many we had Lebanese meal and got a taxi home.

... managed to stay out of trouble and had a good time. Fail: While trying to find a good hiding place for an iPad, look before you place it on top of the closet because you might hear that said iPad fall into the hole on the side of closet with no way of reaching it or knowing if it even still works . I was a lucky girl and because Lindsay bought me a super cool indestructible case my iPad lived to see another day. Thank God ...

... and soaking up the madness which is Walking Street - the highligh being a young girl covered in tens of scorpions (I've finally found a job less appealing than my own profession). We also saw a white haired man who must have been nearing 70 marvelling his young Thai female companion danced enthusiastically around him and had to stifle a laugh as he implored her with tired eyes to "please slow down". He probably died with a smile on his face later that night...
