... worrying that I wouldn't get into the Swedish night club. It took us a while to find the place as Jens directions were a lot to be desired. We couldn't find any other bar on par with the English pub, or that provided reasonable priced drinks anyway, so we went into the club early and thankfully I wasn't IDed. We were all there apart from Sophie and Neill (again). The night, although slow to begin with, soon picked up and the club was packed! We all spent the night ...

    Back to Fortaleza

... what I read online and decided to keep searching. We tried every travel agent in the town about booking a ticket but not a single place sold bus tickets. How does a capital city not have the ability to purchase bus tickets for tourists online but can easily book flights to anywhere in the world in just a few minutes? ... and tried walking in the shade as much as we could before arriving, retreating for the shower and air con and crashing out for a quick arvo siesta. The heat eased a bit around 1645 so we head out to the beach again and did some people watching until we watched a beautiful sunset. Seeing sunset along the water with palm trees that backed into a skyscraper city was new for us, but nonetheless awesome. On then way back to the hostel, Leesh got an Ašai bowl ...

‘Please tell me they didn’t have any gourdes’, I asked hoping I wouldn’t be regretting not popping in to Fortaleza for an hour or so.

‘They had hundreds!’ exclaimed Stephen. ‘So, many to choose from!’ Fortunately for Stephen he couldn’t keep a straight face and I knew almost immediately I was being wound up (as I unclenched my fist!!) Emelia had enquired in the market and once again the answer ...
