    The next part of our adventure is set in South America, however, we stopped briefly in the United States on route. First up was an 8 hour layover in LAX airport. We saw the Hollywood sign from the plane which got us excited and wanting to see LA. So we decided to catch a taxi into Santa Monica which was only half an hour away and we were delighted that we did.     We arrived back in Port about 7:30 am and disembarked and headed back to South Carolina. It was a great trip and we have some great memories to keep.

    On the last night of the cruise, our waiter Manuel and our waitress Magaly served us baked Alaska.
