... Unless in the smallest of shallows, it was just like falling on a pillow. But the one wave that I remember most vividly is one that my brother did try to go on. As we continued to get closer and closer to this giant wave, I decided that it was best if my dad pushed me through the wave. I held onto the board as hard and firmly as I could, and then we ended up going over the wave and making a hard crash at the other side. Well, at least we were alive. I loved surfing!! ...

I woke up, walked outside, and noticed a toucan flying over my head. I already knew this trip was going to be an amazing experience. I sat outside taking in the warm air and bright sunshine, getting excited for my zip lining adventure today with my family.

My family and I started getting our sneakers on, and headed into the car to go to Pura Adventura. I couldn't wait to see the beautiful landscape of Costa Rica from enormous heights.

... We spent 1.5 hours travelling up a river which runs from the beach up the middle of a national park. Our guide had eagle eyes at spotting birds and and even spotted an iguana in a tree 30 meters away. After this we were taken to an island inhabited by a family of 63 howler monkeys (and only one male!) we were able to get some great photos of the monkeys who were eating in the tree right above us! We then decided to book ...

... sea bass. I pan seared it with onions, white wine & lime juice ~ super simple.

Today was a relaxing & simple day. Just enjoy soaking up the culture & watching the locals. We see a lot of people on bicycles ~ sometimes there are three people on a bicycle. One thing I have noticed, the people are always smiling & seem very happy.
