... stairs and along paths back to our van for some lunch and headed off to the next stop. Pals is an old old village that you can wander through. It is dotted with tourist shops which sell some really good stuff and if I hadn't only one suitcase I'd have been tempted. Walking through this town was like walking through a fairy tale setting or a movie set and the contrast was that there were hardly any people here. They were all at the ...

... loved to walk through apart from the sheep's heads. We rode a cable car up to Montjuic to see the Castell de Montjuic. The Castell is impressive at the top and the views over the city were spectacular. It was very hot and we had difficulty finding a place to eat, but when we did, one of the patrons kindly came over to translate for us. Must say fresh melon in this part of the world is outstanding. The only negative note about today, other than the heat, is that the coastal road is very busy with ...

Today everyone tried to get an early start in what proved to be a somewhat futile attempt to avoid at least some of the heat of the day, as today's route promised almost as much climbing as yesterday's. It started magnificently, following the coast up, down, and around as we passed through one town after another, occasionally heading inland for a bit before returning to the sea. There were several ...
