      We awakened at 6 AM and rushed to the upper observation deck with a cup of tea in hand to watch us sail through the Straits of Messina.       Got up super early to drive from Rome to the port in Naples (a mafia controlled city) to catch our ferry to the wonderful island of Capri. A group of a few Australians, a handful of Americans and us managed to hire a small boat and captain it ourselves. It was cool.
