Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Costa Azul Palma

Great hotel

from

Great hotel. good value for money. Rooms large and very clean. Hotel staff very helpful. Good location for the shops and sights. Fantastic view from the bedrooms and the breakfast is excellant. Road below busy but our room double glazed. Would stay again and would recommend to others. No hairdryer.

Great value for money

from

An excellent value for money hotel!Spacious rooms, friendly staff, good breakfasts. The sea view rooms have a lovely view across the port, yet the sound of the traffic is not a problem thanks to the double glazing and patio doors. A great location, just a lovely ten minute stroll into town.

Stay at Hotel Costa Azul

from

We stayed four days at Costa Azul Hotel and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the small but adequate swimming pool. The evening meal was a bargain at 9 Eu's with a good selection of food for everyones taste. Bedroom a little cold this time of year and feel central heating should have been on.

Refreshing and revitalising

from

Hotel was clean. Food was very tasty, fresh and the chef cooked meat in dining room for you to see. Lots of food as it was self service. Rooms clean. Lovely view, but can be noisy from traffic, although this didn't spoil our stay.

Great Place

from

Had a really great week-end here, would like to spend more time at this hotel. Rooms were large and airy, bathroom spotless. Only had bed and breakfast, if dinner is as good as breakfast no problems.

Had a lovely time here

from

Have just spent 3 Days at Costa Azul based on reviews and was not dissapointed.Reception, dining room and bar are all very nicely presented, staff were pleasant and yes,the rooms weren't immaculate, but certainly not unbearable, large, clean and have all you'll need.Wonderful views, there is noise from the road below but that can't be helped,it doesn't stop you sleeping. Will definately go back one day.

Very disappointed

from

Having booked this hotel purely on the reviews written on your site,we would like to say that we found the reception staff very rude and surly not at all helpful or friendly, the room was very basic and in need of some tlc and it was like trying to sleep in the middle of a motorway, the only good thing was the view which was fantastic, would not stay there again.

My Favourite hotel in the world!!!

from

There is nothing I don't like about this hotel. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The view is second to none. The location is perfect. The staff are really nice and go out of their way to be helpful. The bar is very nice & relaxed, and the food is good. Been going to this hotel every January for years, and we wouldn't want to stay any where else in Palma.

Great time yet again

from

Just returned from another fantastic holiay in the Costa Azul Palma. The hotel reception/bar/dining areas have been recently refurbished and look good.Food - what can I say - it was really goodAll staff friendly including listening to the ladies who clean up after us singing happily.Great time had by all.

Off Mallorca

During the night the ship changed course for Mallorca in order to carry out a medical evacuation of a passenger. No word just rumours of the condition of the passenger evacuated. A nice day but a bit blowy so deck quoits and shuffleboard comps were cancelled since they take place on the top deck of Adonia. Therefore we spent a relaxing day around the ship. Dress code for tonight's dinner is Black & White night. ...

Very lush, very expensive....

Today is another slightly cloudy day, but we are in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. This island is small but has many high mountains. The main city of Palma is the capital and this is where we are docked. We have booked a tour here that will take us to several sights. We all head on to the bus and start our way through the city. It is currently raining a little but the skies look good. So we head up to the summer castle of the Spanish Kings. King James I to ...

MSC - Tunis to Mallorca 28-29 October

Overnight we cruised from Tunis to Palma de Mallorca arriving about midday and after having lunch we took the shuttle bus to get us into the centre of town. We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...

... me with this trip. First and foremost is of course John, whose place Jess and I stayed at in Javea, the loan of the motorbike and the use of his apartment here in Palma. Thanks to Diane for picking Jess and I up in Javea and showing us the ropes. Thank you to Jess' friend Simone and her husband Matteo for allowing us to stay with them for so long, particularly over my birthday. I'd also like to thank family friends Helle in Oslo, Lars in Bergen plus ...

Dragon Caves, Sa Colabra and Saying Goodbye

... Another great day trip to take while on the island of Mallorca is to the Dragon Caves. These caves are on the opposite side of the island from Palma, so give yourself some time to get there. The caves are very well maintained and safe for all ages. Once inside the cave you are once again taken back by ...
