    Great hotel

    from

Great hotel. good value for money. Rooms large and very clean. Hotel staff very helpful. Good location for the shops and sights. Fantastic view from the bedrooms and the breakfast is excellant. Road below busy but our room double glazed. Would stay again and would recommend to others. No hairdryer.

    Great value for money

    from

An excellent value for money hotel!Spacious rooms, friendly staff, good breakfasts. The sea view rooms have a lovely view across the port, yet the sound of the traffic is not a problem thanks to the double glazing and patio doors. A great location, just a lovely ten minute stroll into town.

    Stay at Hotel Costa Azul

    from

We stayed four days at Costa Azul Hotel and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the small but adequate swimming pool. The evening meal was a bargain at 9 Eu's with a good selection of food for everyones taste. Bedroom a little cold this time of year and feel central heating should have been on.

    Refreshing and revitalising

    from

Hotel was clean. Food was very tasty, fresh and the chef cooked meat in dining room for you to see. Lots of food as it was self service. Rooms clean. Lovely view, but can be noisy from traffic, although this didn't spoil our stay.

    Great Place

    from

Had a really great week-end here, would like to spend more time at this hotel. Rooms were large and airy, bathroom spotless. Only had bed and breakfast, if dinner is as good as breakfast no problems.

    Had a lovely time here

    from

Have just spent 3 Days at Costa Azul based on reviews and was not dissapointed.Reception, dining room and bar are all very nicely presented, staff were pleasant and yes,the rooms weren't immaculate, but certainly not unbearable, large, clean and have all you'll need.Wonderful views, there is noise from the road below but that can't be helped,it doesn't stop you sleeping. Will definately go back one day.

    Very disappointed

    from

Having booked this hotel purely on the reviews written on your site,we would like to say that we found the reception staff very rude and surly not at all helpful or friendly, the room was very basic and in need of some tlc and it was like trying to sleep in the middle of a motorway, the only good thing was the view which was fantastic, would not stay there again.

My Favourite hotel in the world!!!

    from

There is nothing I don't like about this hotel. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The view is second to none. The location is perfect. The staff are really nice and go out of their way to be helpful. The bar is very nice & relaxed, and the food is good. Been going to this hotel every January for years, and we wouldn't want to stay any where else in Palma.

    Great time yet again

    from

    Boat trip!

... Majorca coast, stopping off for a swim in the sea and arriving at Camp de Mar. A couple of hours on the beach and in the sea and we headed back to the boat for a delicious lunch of paella, salad, and ensaimadas (local cake type thing) - and lots of sangria and cava! The journey back meant sailing into the waves which meant for a very bumpy ride - all of which was very fun rather than scary or stomach churning. There was quite a lot of spray to keep us cool as well... Admittedly ...

Day 5 - end of first week

So today was a funny one. I was still so tired this morning and was 5 minutes late for class - not a problem really but it knocked me for 6 and it was difficult to gain confidence throughout the rest of the lesson. I started to have my first doubts about whether I'm doing the right thing today.... The lessons are great for those who are properly learning Spanish - maybe for work, or to help with school, ...

As expected, still over tired today! Class was good though and afterwards a few of us went to grab lunch at a local market. There were lots of different food stands (think Borough Market al Palma) and we sat at one with a few different tapas (obviously!). This afternoon we went to the Es Baluard art gallery which was interesting. A few pieces of local Mallorquin art including a small Joan Miro exhibition. A quick mojito with Monica, Trisha ...

... so made the most of that and baked for a little while before heading down to do my homework! Tonight - the school has organised a visit to a flamenco display - well I think it is a display - somebody else said we had to learn flamenco ourselves - oh the joy of not really understanding the language! It was only me and Monica from our class but a few others from a more ...

... although it really does take me back to those first few days at school - 25 years ago! I thought the lessons might be approached differently and just concentrate on getting by in Spanish, but it seems that this old school way is the standard method. Homework was finished early today so enjoyed a Puzzler by the pool - being so high (8th floor) means there is a lovely breeze to help cope with the 30C temperature... Dinner with Monica ...
