The Ramada hotel was fine , just 50 m from the airport so not difficult to find - the room is good and i had a nice pizza and two peruvian beers for dinner for 50 soles - or Peruvian dollars or about $22 aussie dollars

For an airport hotel this was nice enough. The room is nothing special, but it's clean and comfortable. The lobby is nice, and there's a bar that looked nice but I was too tired to try it out. The main benefit of this hotel is that it's directly connected to the airport.

      Great Location!

Location is fantastic, especially if you are arriving late at night and just need a place to stay overnight before catching a flight out the next day. You just walk out of the airport and walk across the street.

Staff was very pleasant, even at midnight! Room was clean and adequate. Our room was a bit noisey when we first arrived because it was right on the street by the airport. Lots of honking taxis but it eventually quieted down and we slept fine.

Breakfast was good...watermelon was fantastic. Would definitely recommend because of it's location to the airport.

Sunday May 3 2015: John's birthday today and what a lovely view from our bedroom window. Bags out at 7 and at 7.30 we all walk down to the hotel pier where our boat is moored amongst a floating bed of green algae. We move through this and out to the unique floating islands of Uros where this fascinating society of people still live on these islands …

3am wake up calls are not very nice :( Airport queues are not very nice either :( But once I worked out I was in the queue for the cancelled São Paulo plane I was fine - it still took 1 and a half hours to check in !!!! The airport staff don't give out much information so it's a bit confusing.... I did manage to order breakfast in Spanish …

Cheyll dropped me at the aiprort at 8. 0 clock this morning - we had stayed overnight at the Rydges hotel next to the international departure area - great idea by Cheryll, took all the stress out of getting there on time. Left sydney for Santiago via a 45 minute transit in Auckland and arrived in Santiago at 11,30 am - same day. Flew to Lima …

I arrived late last night in Lima, Peru. No issues on the flight - although the DirecTV feed died about 20 minutes into the 5 1/2 hour flight (pesky geosynchronous satellites and the Southern Hemisphere). So all we could watch was the one in-flight movie - "The Lego Movie". Fortunately it's a great movie and holds up after multiple viewings (four …
