So it starts again. Rubber Down & Thunder Thighs are on the road again. Al be it a little slower getting started this time. We left Canada on February 19th on our way to Madrid using a connection in London. Unfortunately yours truly caught a bad case of flu on the way and needed a little medical help. ... of my day, so after that, all of us went to the beach for an hour. It was fun to relax a bit after everything. After that one of the people I met went to Burgerguesaria with me which is this AMAZING burger joint. I havent had good Spanish food while here yet but this burger place was amazing and super fresh. It was higher quality beef, homemade mayo, sauces of your choosing, and sauteed onions.

... find the caves at the bottom of the gorge were worth it. I was surrounded by sandmartins, goldfinches, grasshoppers and the rustle in the undergrowth which were clearly snakes and lizards I was too slow to spot. I found trees laden with fresh figs which were delicious. If it hadn't been for the empty Coke cans and fag packets in some of the caves that suggested they are used by the local youth for illicit snogging sessions it would have all been very Garden of Eden.

... br> There are a lot of UK expats here and we ended up in a little bar down the street that apart from the sunny views and local food might have been a pub in downtown London. The British are very friendly though. We met a nice couple, Owen and Elizabeth, who live here year round and their daughters own and operate a local hotel. We agreed to get together with them for margaritas.
