So Sunday was our recovery day from the trip. We slept until 12 and slowly got out by 1. We went to the Plaza de la Merced near our apartment and had the most amazing chicken skewers at Las Tortugas Cafe, located right on the Plaza. There were some street performers playing music and the sun was out. A most perfect day. We learned the night before from some locals that appropriate tip here is around 10%, but not required. Most locals leave a euro or if they feel good the full ...

... minute scramble and we're at the top - although not all at the same time, as there isn't enough room there for three.

There's just about a view, but not a very good one. You can see downwards (for a long way), but not across to the other peaks around us, which is a pity after all the effort we've put in - it's taken around 5 hours to get here from Acebuchal.

We're quickly away to start the descent, but have to take great care in the gully. Then we're back on ...

... and ends in a series of waterfalls below Cisne.

It's been a very dry year so far and section of the river which passes Frigiliana has dried up completely. I've never seen it like this before. The water which is flowing freely higher up has been filtered away into man-made acequias (aqueducts) and there isn't any to spare for this section of the river.

I've previously done this walk without seeing anyone else, but there are a few ...
