... the Carabinieri (ie: that police station), which we took to be a good sign. We took several photos of the area, and our walk to the Metro train station - just in case we got lost and needed to work out how to to get back. WE still had no map at this stage and that made decision making a bit hard. I mean, I knew that there was a City centre square and a Duomo and the Last Supper, and its a fashion capital - but really I just wanted to go here so I could wear my ...

    Relaxing at Lake Como

    ... atmosphere.
Lake Como, it has to be said, is huge. The water is clear and deep, and in the morning sun, it kind of looks like a grey, teal colour. Very unique. The life of us Supertramps is lived day by day. Planning is a useless practice because if we do remember to plan ahead, such plans will be changed by the impending reality.

The half plan we had pencilled in in our minds, was the one of kitting out Fintan's work van to turn it into a passion-mobile: futon to replace tools, shelves to accommodate ...

I did manage a little trip back home before flying back to Ecuador.

It was a surprise to everyone as usual. And even more of a surprise was to discover Fintan has become a little celebrity in my home town. His clever move of asking my dad permission to marry me (to whom he happily replied Take her, good luck) has guaranteed him indemnity for life.
