Just when we thought Venice was the most beautiful place we would visit in Italy, Varenna may have beaten it into second place. I did manage a little trip back home before flying back to Ecuador.

It was a surprise to everyone as usual. And even more of a surprise was to discover Fintan has become a little celebrity in my home town. His clever move of asking my dad permission to marry me (to whom he happily replied Take her, good luck) has guaranteed him indemnity for life.
