... The final part of our tour was a walk through the main city centre of Heraklion- with its old historic buildings, lovely Orthodox Church, fountains and modern day brand name shops! Fourth of July In Crete with no fire works :( Today we drove from Chania to Heraklion to our new hotel. The drive took two hour through some beautiful country side that reminded us of California, but without all of the people. Last night we had some fun swimming in the pool - Kelly tried to teach chris to float without much success. Over our time on Crete we've met a bunch of people from the Netherlands. The owners of the hotel we're staying at are Dutch, so we think that might be why there are so many Dutch people here.
