... party. Of course this party was alcohol-free, a concept that is still hard to understand for me. The university is just so conservative, treating you as a child... In the Netherlands, alcohol is even provided for some high school parties - and here we are as 3rd year university students not being allowed to drink. We will definitely need to come back and explore more. We would love to bring the kids here too.

The Plaza Lounge was just what I needed after the flight - a small private cubicle with ensuite for 3 hours, then snacks and soft drinks in the lounge, and free WiFi.

Feeling much fresher, I got the Airport Express train into the city which was very easy, but it was a big shock to go outside; it was so hot and humid! I wandered down to ...

... anything.....yet! Then we watched the fireworks from Deb's room while listening to the music from the park being played through the hotel TV. There was a little surprise at dinner but that would be a spoiler for the travellers who are yet to join us so you will all have to wait for the reveal. Deb (and Paul) gave me a Disney travellers emergency pack for my birthday which was just lovely and they bought me a lemon tart from Singapore which is yet to be ...
