Today I spent the afternoon chilling with Timm and then I left for Salzburg. I got a ride to Freilassing, just outside the Austrian border, and then I took the S bahn into the city center. ... the festival from. Walking into Oktoberfest was completely surreal. Huge beer tents one after another had huge crowds of people gathered in front of them. All of the food looked and smelled so good. Since we hadn't eaten since the day before the first thing we did was get food. I got a chicken sandwich. It was amazing. ... the sky line of Munich is not very high for the reason that the height
limit on buildings (logically) was limited to the height of the fire engines
of the day. As you look across the Munich skyline, church spires dominate.
In 1973 it hosted the Olympic Games for which were built the Olympic stadium,
and also the underground system. Munich remains the capital of Bavaria, and
is where German chancellor candidate Edmund Stoiber has his seat of power.
