... yet that's the European culture..
Once back at the hotel we get settled and I try to buy our train tix for Venice online...
One would think this wouldn't be difficult but apparently EVERYONE is going to Venice because the earliest train I can get is 11:10 am Sat. and come back at 7:25 pm the rest are all booked.. We don't even sit together on the way there. Oh well, no biggie! We got booked on the high speed train to Venice tomorrow.. Weather not looking so good...

... to call a taxi and first ask the cost of the taxi from Ravenna - Bologna as Hertz said they will pay ( upon further questions with hertz, she says they will pay a portion depending on the overall cost!!) OK 130-140 Euros.. really who cares at this point. we don't have any other way back to the airport and we are not taking a bus!!
Taxi comes and off we go... Cory is at airport now and since he was 4 hrs late arriving, Hertz gave his rental away.. ...

... in with the Italian drivers. It's 8 pm and I know it gets dark just before 9pm.. Great... dark just when we have to turn off the autostrade and onto the winding country roads.... make good time since driving like Italians... Take the turn off for Urbino ( larger town we have to drive through to get to Urbania... It's now pitch black outside, narrow twisting country roads, more " traffic circles" than you can imagine for such a rural area. ...

... with tomato meat sauce (Bolognese). I didnt know tortellini is a special local food from Bologna but my choice was the best. Even though the price was way too expensive for only tortellini, salad and coke - 26€. Just waked a bit of town after late meal and tried to find a supermarket to buy salads and water. After that, just came back to the B&B place then enjoyed chilling in my big double bed ...

... which makes it worth the visit.

Bologna. Red City. City of Arches. City of Towers. Mysterious. Sadly, becoming, Graffitiville. Locals suspect it has to do with foreigners making up nine out of every ten locals in Bologna. The locals are not happy with it. I won't be happy myself -- I don't understand the nasty graffiti all over this beautiful town. It's not even street art. Banksy should visit!
