Lucy’s Fried Chicken came highly recommended and it was walking distance from their place so that was our destination. It did not disappoint, the chicken was crispy and tender with just the right amount of pepper, the mac’n’cheese was creamy with a crunchy layer of breadcrumbs on top and the oysters were a nice surprise delicacy. ... see the Capital State Building. On our way there we stopped to take some pictures with a giant colourful guitar and got talking to a girl who was moving to Belfast the following week to go to Queens University.
Dusk was starting to set in and so we had to rush back to the Congress Bridge to see the Bats. It is estimated that 1.5million bats live under the bridge and they all come out at dusk to feed. Was a pretty cool sight and a nice ending to our time in Austin.
