... to expect much by way of banter or smiles!!! She put us into a King Suite (another honeymoon upgrade!!) and once we dropped off our stuff, we head out to explore Tucumcari.

The town boasts a popular Dinosaur museum which we passed on and a few little shops. We had some cowboy themed photos taken at Mother Road Old Time Pics. Mark dressed up as a Sherif and I dressed as a parlour girl. It was such a giggle!!

Explored Santa Fe in the morning, walking around the farmers market, through the street art exhibitions. Santa Fe has a nice vibe to it, with all it's architecture designed to match the mud-red Mexican buildings. Leaving Santa Fe we drove on to a town a couple of hours a way that has an oasis water spring. Known as the Blue Hole, 81ft deep and average temperature of 15 degrees. Not much to post about except that we made the 425 mile trip from Gallup, New Mexico to Amarillo, Texas. We also changed time zones - we are on Central Standard Time. There was still a good bit of daylight at 9pm so we're thinking it's really between 7 or 8pm. We had to quick setup camp to run to get something to eat before places closed up.

Lisa: Amarillo bound I sang all the way there, "is this the way to Amarillo" I couldn't stop, for once the lyrics made sense!! We arrived quite late so decided to check in to yet another cheap motel the n head straight out to 'The Big Texan’ which is a steak restaurant.
