Tidy little cabin with double bunk bed, single bed above and another 2 single bunk beds. Small fridge. Well stocked and maintained communal kitchen. Jumping pillow for the kids. Internet was quick and well priced at $7.00 for 100GB although it must be used within 24hrs.

Wow, I didn't think the road could continue to be so curvy...I was wrong, but this happens when you are driving around a peninsula. The road up the Eastern side of the Coromandel passes through numerous small communities, Pauanui, Tairua, Whenuakite, Whitianga, Matarangi and on to Coromandel on the West shore of the Peninsula.

We head further a long the north coast to spend our last night in our campervan in Coromandel Town. On the way we stop off at hot water beach. Luckly it is very busy so we don't need to dig a hole as they have already been dug. So have fun playing in the sand and hot water. We head round the coast to Coromandel. Unfortunately the weather turns and …

At the railway not only did he build the track himself (including designing the layout of the track, bending the rails, laying the rails, building retaining walls, everything basically) he also designed the trains & cars that visitors now use for rides along the track.
