First Day

We left home right on time at 8am. Two parents, two teenagers. I was up early, determined to be on time. At 7:59, I was standing at the front door, so I was pleased with myself. I remembered that it was our 22nd wedding anniversary, so I gave my husband a card with a bike on it with a reference to a journey. A little hokey, I know.

Paul also has a boat and takes you to swims that are on the small islands in the St. Lawrence and gives you the low-down on where to fish and how deep it is etc.

... day. Apparently, we have to go back into Canada on 2nd October for at least 5 weeks to get another 3 month waiver to come back into the USA. Even though Canada, as we all know, is another country, we have to be seen to be having a meaningful stay (at least 30 days) to entitle us to another waiver, go figure??? Anyway, all turned out well, we were allowed to continue on into the USA, after a thorough search of our Motorhome.

Our first trip out: After loading up the trailer with everything we thought we might need (and a bunch we didn't need) we booked into a campground on the LongSault Parkway called Woodlands. A provincial campground so water/power but no sewer. Drive down went without a problem, rig towed great, nothing like bringing it home.
