... recommend that you visit the Tokali Church (Church of the Buckle) which has an amazing range of pictures that depict the life of Jesus on early from the moment of the Immaculate Conception to his Ascension into heaven, including the Miracle at Cana, the raising of Lazarus. There were some bits that I didn’t recognise, but a little bit of research told us that the 32 scenes depict the Gospel of James. Who?? I only know of Matthew, Mark, Luke ...
Antayla is a striking city on the Mediterranean, as well as the largest growing city in Turkey. There are public parks and trails all along the water, well taken care of, clean and the landscape is full of palm trees, fruit trees, blooming flowers and cacti of all kinds. One long park along the Mediterranean even had cat and dog houses, literally, for stray pets. Random people come and feed them often, and they are all very ...
Caught an airport bus to Kaisery to get a flight back to Istanbul and another to Antalya instead of taking an overnight bus direct to Antalya. (Still shudder thinking about night shifts) We are hoping to stay reasonably warm for as long as possible. The Sea Life Hotel Resort where we are staying is rather modern and not quite our style, but to get a room with ocean views and half board (breakfast & dinner ) for 38 Euros ...
... taking a pretty long and leisurely river cruise down then Manavgat river that joins together to the Mediterranean Sea. It's a pity that it was too cold else think swimming is usually done. But from the thin stretch of "beach" could touch the nice icy water. Though honestly without the sea part the cruise was really so unscenic! Both banks were like dry and bare.
Lunch was onboard the cruise of yummy fresh ...
... during their daily lives. They must have been in fantastic shape, especially because this area was so large. We hiked up the side of the main pathway towards the theater & that took us roughly half an hour alone. Once we arrived, we were met by a gorgeous opening that revealed the peaks of the mountain range. We then ventured towards our destination: the theater.
By navigating the signs posted along the pathways, we happened upon the ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Cornelia De Luxe Resort Belek
This hotel is absolutely fantastic! My partner and I stayed at the Cornelia in the 1st week of September to celebrate both of our birthdays. I read all the reviews of the Hotel before we booked so we had a good idea of what to expect but the holiday met, and hugely exceeded, all of our expectations. The service was attentive without being too intrusive, the entire complex was spotless and constantly being cleaned, the hotel itself was stunning, the food was fantastic (especially the a la carte restaurants) and the staff were wonderful. One of the best points for us were the pools, they were beautifully clean and always empty. To be honest neither of us could find a single fault with the holiday, 7 nights was far too short! We're already planning our next trip to Cornelia.
We have just returned from Hotel Cornelia, Belek. All I can do is agree with the other reviews - the food was exceptional the service from the staff was the best we have ever received. Your glasses were refilled as soon as they were empty - all the drinks were named brands (Gordons Gin etc.). The restaurants were all exception. The only thing I would say to beware of is the shop were you buy the newspapers - watch your change!!! We are already planning to return next year!! - Excellent holiday.
Just one word: Perfect.
We went to Cornelia for our honeymoon, while we were waiting for a standart room they upgraded our resevation to Junior Villa suites which have a outstanding view of the pool and a private quay.
We felt really upset when we left the hotel yesterday. We would stay there for years. The service was perfect (de luxe all inclusive) and the people were very friendly.
We loved this place. Hope to visit soon.
My wife and I have just come back from the Cornelia, having spent a week there from 2 to 9 September.
This has got to be the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
Excellent hotel, you must go!!
stayed here for 2 weeks early june, excellent hotel, very hot weather, safe resort for walking along thebeach, food we couldnt fault, excellent chinese restaurant which we visited 3 times in our holiday, very good turkish restaurant in the grounds, all of the branded drinks were in the all inclusive package which we didnt expect. rooms were very big, with a huge bed, lovely views looking out to sea, 24 hour room service for food which we used many times was excellent, after coming back from daphnes bar early hours of the morning!!! just watch out for the shop, very very expensive & short changed us a couple of times, do not use.. but other than that cant wait to go back...
My family and i stayed at this fantasic hotel for the first 2 weeks in August. I'm not going to waffle....i'll be simple but truthful.....Wonderful, fantastic, relaxing, entertaining, spotlessly clean, great for all ages, friendly staff, exactly what the brochure says. DEFINITELY 5 STAR........
What more could you ask for. We would all love to return to the Cornelia Hotel.
North West Family.
The Cornelia hotel is a true luxurious all-inclusive resort. We stayed in one of the Junior Suite Villas which are fantastic with direct access from your balcony into one of the pools. There are many pools in the resort, beautiful bars & restaurants, excellent food with besides the main buffet restaurant, another 4 a la carte ones, which are all excellent. Staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help. For an extra bit of pampering, try the treatments at the Tuana Spa, from beauty to massage treatments, again all beauticians & masseurs are very friendly and polite, and the treatments are really worth it - still feeling chilled now ....... we would fully recommend the Cornelia resort for a relaxation holiday, and will certainly visit again. Feel free to email us if you have any questions.
We stayed at the Cornelia for 2 weeks in early June and the hotel was fantastic and the weather was very hot. We couldn't find any reviews on the hotel before we left so we did not know what to expect but we were not disappointed.
