Being Sunday the roads were quiet and we set off for a drive into the mountains to see the Roman city of Termessos.
The city dates from around 400BC and is set in a very odd location high on the top of a mountain pass. The road up to the start of the city is steep and clearly had the odd Roman site on route with walls etc. visible.

Almost all the objects come for the Anatolian region and lot of the statues are from Perge, an old Roman town nearby which now is not much at all but in it's 2nd C heyday sported a huge 'theatre' which had lots and lots of enormous statues.
