    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    ... day. However, we missed the junction and in the end we had to turn back from the first hairpin bend under the pass. It meant an extra 8 kilometres and we were not particularly happy about this as it had got really hot by this time.
