We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... why I and others do it in the first place. The ship is leaving port now. Seems like a lot of the riffraff disembarked. My kindle is charging, but what about my charge? Think the Greeks have discovered coffee yet?

... after half an hour waiting with people in the little shop screaming at each other but then laughing...so maybe it was not screaming and the tone just belonged to the language...the man took my 40 euros with the very calming words " trust me trust me" I was not sure if I trust him but I gave him my money and nothing is impossible on arriving in Greece the authorities let us pass.

Arrive in Corfu plane on time, received my instructions need to get to Paxoi or Parga on the ferry, got on a local bus which cost me 1.50€ which was better than the 10€ taxi fare. Met a couple of guys who where also going sailing and they were off to mainland Greece as well. Get to the ferry port and find that the ferry to Paxoi was at a different jetty 300 metres back the way I came, so I off I go only to be told the ferry has broke down ...
