Bye bye Greek Islands...back to Athens

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Aug 06, 2014

... Not enough though! The rest of the journey was so uncomfortable and crammed but we finally made it back to Athens at about 8pm. We still had to get the metro to our hostel which took about an hour so it was a long day. The hostel has very dodgy aircon so we all arrived feeling disgusting but no time for freshening up as we wanted to go out for one last group dinner and it was already 9! We pretty much dropped our ...

... so the bar cleared out about 8 for everyone to get ready. We met up as a group for some pre drinks then went down to the beach bar for the party. I had bought a 2L bottle of wine for only €6 (saving money) and our rooms were so close that instead of buying drinks we could pop back to the room for a top up, therefore another very cheap night! The club was really different to what I expected. It was actually open air so not a hot stuffy indoor club with no room to move. We actually had enough space to dance and we all stayed as a group so it was a really good night. The music was a bit **** since it was a DJ ...

... Walking into the beach bar, music already pumping, the party had well and truly started and it was still daylight, 7pm. Adam handed Alice and I a flower each, flashing his seediest smile and as we walked through the crowd it was like he was parting the red sea...with both men and women moving for him....Who had we entered with? Clearly someone VERY important...In a very casual fashion Adam headed straight for the go-go dancers on the table shaking errythang they had...Stroking ones ...

... archeological museum, but found that it was closed due to being Easter Sunday. We grabbed a gyros (Greek kebab) for lunch, and then began heading towards a taxi stand to go back to the hotel, pausing to look at a few more shops on the way. I spent the remainder of the afternoon chilling out beside the pool at the hotel. The tour group was split between those who were heading to town for dinner, and those of us who were staying behind to find somewhere close to the hotel. ...
