I know this a weird title for a Blog, but it´s really a good title. Being Asian travell** and walking the streets in a south am**ican country, I get a lot of stares and comments of "Chino" on a regular basis. Howev**, i found someone that also gets that same impression, my new friend Tolani or "T" who is english with *****ian ethnicity. He told me that sometimes he feels like a movie star. I kept telling him that he should just tell ev**yone that´s he´s some movie star or rapp**, but then the...
Cordoba, Central Argentina, Argentina coleauxvAfter everything we had heard about the quality of Argentina´s bus system we were sorely disappointed in our first overnight trip on a "coche cama". We booked the cama suite option to Cordoba to afford as a little privacy, because we had been told there might be champagne involved and that the seats reclined into virtual beds (cama means bed). When we boarded the bus we were handed a box each containing two alfajores, what Patrick calls Argentinian wagon wheels. That was the last we saw of ei...
Cordoba, Argentina cookageComing to Cordoba was a good idea! I really liked the city. I don't know if it is because I arrived on a Sunday and so it was much quieter then Mendoza was when I first arrived but it really appealed to me! There seemed to be much more culture in here. I spent Sunday afternoon walking around. I visited a cultural center that had some modern art on display. It was displayed really nicely and was open to all who wanted to walk in. I moved on from there to an art museum, Museo de Bellas Artes Em...
Cordoba, Argentina courtenayI got up very early at 5am on Monday morning to move on from the North of Argentina down to the centre of the country & more specifically to Cordoba , which is Argentina´s second city. The bus ride here was great ... a nice comfortable bus , a big seat , an empty space next to me and a long smooth straight road ... this is when I find I can actually relax & enjoy the bus rides ... long may it continue ! Cordoba has been a tad disappointing to be quite frank ... but perhaps travelling ...
Cordoba, Argentina garygapyear OK, I´m not going to labour Cordoba as I didn´t really like it, and I only really want to the pin in the map!
So to summarise a typical day in the voice of Gordon Ramsey: stay in bed until 11:00; bum around all day; have breakfast and lunch at normal times; have dinner at the ungodly hour of 10.30; start drinking; go to a club at 01.00 in the morning; get really ******; somehow get back to the hostel.
Done.
¡Adios mis amigos!

Hi All!
Since leaving Paraguay we´ve hit 3 main destinations during our journey all the way down Argentina.
The First was Cordoba in North Argentina. This is the main student city in Argentina boasting 7 universities and hence a young vibrant atmosphere. The city itself was a little ´blank canvas´ and very European. We spent 2 days here and the highlight was most definately getting the chance to have a great couple of nights out with my old friend Peter from primary school who is cu...

... some refuge in cheap wine and the fact the next hostel (which I called this morning from the bus station) is owned by a lovely English man who has a pool and a love of wine.... what I haven't told Rob is there is no room for us until Friday evening and we have to sleep in a hammock tomorrow! there is a safe place for our luggage, assuming it hasn't been stolen already from the bus station : )
