... of the area and found this quaint little fishing village. Most of the fishing villages have campsites right at the piers and docks. But, generally they are old and not kept up very well.

There's a lot of development going on all along the Gulf Coast in all of the states. But, sandwiched in among it all are these quaint little fishing ventures.

... We were not done with hills! This time it was approx six miles up a noticeable grade. Not bad, but it was nice when we finally leveled out to flat! We crossed the Continental Divide and rode through the 3300 ft Big Savage Tunnel! That was so much fun - I would have rode back and forth a couple more times! Today's ride was 32 miles.

... note: Texans like to show tribute to individuals and groups who have earned their respect and appreciation. There are many memorials and dedications along the highways and byways. There is a strong sense of pride in being a Texan and being an American that shines strongly here.

PS: The restrooms/showers at this park were ghastly. The city needs to step up and totally remodel them. John braved the shower, but I stayed in our little RV.
