    ... today or no longer in business. We then proceeded on to the tiny sovereign state of San Marino. The "republic" is only 20 square miles in size. We drove directly to the top of the mountain on which the old city (citta) rests. The Citta has a spectacular view in all directions.     A few snippets of our 1.5 days in Milan. What a wonderful city! We only came here as a fly-out point but it has been a great experience.

    I love the cathedral here, beats Florence hands down. I think it is its wedding cake outside appearance, and the fact we did a good tour that included inside, the archeological site and exhibition underground (very well done) and the upper "terraces" ...
