... people would go to Tunisia to eat pizza? We want some freaking cous-cous, for crying out loud!), everything was falling to pieces and vacationing there was hardly cheap.
I'm sure there's got to be something nice in Tunis, but the area of Sousse where we went to is an absolutely, positively, ghastly, God-forsaken corner of the Earth.

... and was possibly flasher than some 5 stars ive stayed in before. The pool was exactly like the pictures had shown and with its own private beach covered in idyllic beach umbrellas I was in heaven.
The first 2 days were pretty much just spent relaxing at the beach and the pool but on day three we decided to try see a little bit more of the country. We had been very kean to hire a car to explore but after being warned against it from reps and seeing how manic people drive we ...
... and the prices are very low. However most shops haven’t got fixed prices (though there are an increasingly number that do) which means it’s time to haggle! When the sellers see you’re a tourist they will give you an inflated price, the general rule is that you should be able to get it down 50%, and you should start at about 30%, and work your way up. The food on the other hand wasn’t top notch, I had ordered a pepper steak, but found it dry and stringy, but my mother who had ordered turkey was satisfied with her meal, so perhaps I was just unlucky with my meal! I liked the restaurant, even though the meat wasn’t great.

Sousse, Tunisia whatsnext... of the first visit were but a faded, distant memory, therefore it was enough to consider this trip a fresh experience. Port El Kantaoui is a largely artificial resort, the centrepiece of which is a pristine marina, where the town gets most of its Mediterranean allure from. Nightlife is relatively muted, and you might gain the overall impression that unless you are seeking souvenirs, shopping is very much a low-key affair too. The town has a sizeable ...
Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia jollyjetsetter... jumped on and attempted to get in. She had a Tom biting either side of her neck. We also figured that she was the town bike of cats, so we took the photos and moved on. Next morning, we packed and walked out. We found the bike/cat getting another seeing to by some different cats and we walked up to the Archeological museum. Inside are some awesome mosaics. We walked around, gazing and remarking how much better this was compared to the one ...
