... Around 6 we went up to the room and shower and then went out in search for dinner. We weren't overly impressed with the food choices in the Isla Verde area your options pretty much consisted of overpriced resort food or fast food (taco bell, burger king, etc)
We settled on Chilli's, again, and had a quick bite there. The food bothers our stomachs this night so we headed to bed early...

San Juan, Puerto Rico bookitorskipit... We stopped at Casa Blanca (the home of Ponce de Leon's family), took a photo of his statue area and twisted my ankle at the cathedral where he is buried. The rain came down for a bit, but we enjoyed it as we were so hot from all of the walking. Took photos of the four seasons fountain, the many balconies with flowers, Hard Rock, Senor Frogs, horse and buggies, and the Christopher Columbus statue. Fort San Cristobal was next looking at the weapons ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico cabsvacationsJanuary 29, 2008, 19.3 Knots, 14 degrees 1.39 N, 60 degrees 32.34 W Hey Everyone, Greetings from somewhere between San Juan, Puerto Rico and Salvador, Brazil. Since the last time I wrote things have been awesome. We started classes the day before we arrived in Puerto Rico and had our second day today. I am only taking 4 classes (a nice break from the ridiculous workload at Babson and the 80+ hour weeks that I will be working this summer) which are ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico hepstein1... minute-by-minute within the restaurant's kitchen. This place not only keeps up with the latest culinary trends, but it often sets them, thanks to the inspired guidance of owner and celebrity chef Wilo Benet. Formal but not stuffy, and winner of more culinary awards than virtually any other restaurant in Puerto Rico, Pikayo is a specialist in the criolla cuisine of the colonial age, emphasizing the Spanish, Indian, and African elements ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico markfj... meals, staff members bring you drinks and then clear your plate's right in front of you, I think I may be a little spoiled when I return. Not that anyone expects this type of treatment; it does not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. I started my classes this past Tuesday and am pretty happy with the professors. The class rooms are really small but we make due with what we have. I am taking Organizational Behavior, Business and Society, Anthropology ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico tim_at_sea... my hand and said bueno. It was very interesting, her assumption that we wouldn't have respect for her and for her to be so surprised when we did. It was definitely a way for us to get into the mindset of the people, walking around there. After we made it back to the ship we went to a welcome reception at the university of Puerto Rico and had snacks and talked with Puerto Rican students, which was a lot of fun. Towards the end they also taught us ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico hayesbk... the U.S., but it was completely different in a lot of others, language being the most obvious. Also, it was what you made it. If you did all the touristy things, than of course it's more of a vacation. Me and the group of girls I've been hanging out with did a lot of exploring the first day we were there. After a quick stop at a dentist's office (one of my friends needed to get checked out) we stopped at an emergency room. No one was hurt or anything, I ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico d.nischelle... areas of the ship but I preferred to be with the huge crowds. Unfortunately I think I'm already starting to hang out with a "click" but I don't think I'm in too deep yet. We all just normally meet for dinner at six and then hang out for the rest of the night. They're all a lot of fun and I already know that I'm going to miss them. There is Nicole my roommate from Michigan st., E or Elise from the OC who goes to Chapman, Jane from Michigan, Jeff who we ...
