    ... Speaking of the refrigerator, it seems to be working quite well. Better than it has to date, in fact. I did learn a trick for helping to keep the humid air from getting inside. Put a layer of Vaseline on the door gaskets as it helps to seal any small gaps that can allow outside air into the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Hopefully that will allow us to finish our travels without the need to defrost it again. Without the electric ...

    ... for keeping things pretty cool, but they aren’t very good at cooling warm things down.

    Anyway, back to the point. The point being that these things are not frost free. It gets less frost free when you are in high humidity climates. Guess what? The refrigerator and freezer are pretty badly frosted up by now. That means that we have to take everything out of it so we can defrost it.

    Gayle and Leon arrived and surprised us with a knock on the door, which got Harley barking. He quit right away when he realized it was Aunt Gayle and Uncle Leon. He happily hopped up on the couch when Aunt Gayle asked him to. He got plenty of attention as you can see in the pictures.
