    We are sad to be leaving tomorrow. Everything has gone very well. We have felt very safe and secure here as well as relaxed.

    ... on and off all day so a lazy day at the villa was a great idea. Ruth and Malcolm still end up getting burnt though. These cloudy skies can be deceptive.

    Later that evening Henry and I went to Cin Cin for a meal while mum stayed home to baby sit Ruth and Malcolm. Malcolm says that they're going to party as soon as we leave and the cheeky smile from mum confirms that she will be the one getting the party started.

    ... what it must have been like some 500 years ago to sail on these same seas. It would have been much darker as there were probably just a few lanterns. It would surely have been much more quiet. Just the wind in the sails and the hull cutting through the sea. And probably most disturbing would have been the navigation devices. I feel much more "sure-footed" with all of the modern navigation devices.

    ... flew to, the others being New York, Paris and of course London. The plane here was the actual one that Alvan would have seen, it was donated by the British Government in recognition of one of the more profitable routes it flew. I remember seeing it years ago flanked by the red arrows when it flew over home as part of the Coventry air show way back possibly in the early 80s. The seats were all leather and very comfortable to sit it with plenty of leg room. All ...
