I have also heard from the owner of the snack bar to say she has sold it so it will be interesting to see what happens there!

The journey took about 40 minutes. On the way to Bachkovo Monastery we passed through the town of Asenovgrad. Luben, the driver, told me that Asenovgrad is known for making wedding dresses and red wine; sure enough, we passed lots ...

... 94' I said. Back then, Bulgaria beat a strong German side in the quarter finals of the World Cup in the USA. They beat the defending World Champions and a team who made the final of Euro 92 and won Euro 96. A very strong German side. Remember Letchkov? The balding player who headed the winner against Germany? A great team, lead by Stoichkov, who jointly won the Golden boot for the tournament. They ...
