What a cool place! Our hostel was in the old town, close to the top of one of the 7 hills of Plovdiv. We stayed at Old Plovdiv Hostel which was probably the best hostel I've ever been. They had a whiteboard saying hi to us when we came in, and there are no bunk beds there! The building is all old style wood and the beds were so comfortable. ...

... in this city appears to be planned and it is very clean and inviting. Tomorrow we head to Istanbul to board our ship for the cruise round the Black Sea. ... overnight for 3 Euro,s and it has overnight security, it will do even if it's a little noisy from the passing traffic, it also has free wifi. After tea we spend the evening blogging etc. We have lost an hour of our lives today 9.00 pm has become 10.00 pm, so time for bed early. Question for Polly: do you think anyone has ever worked out how many hours you loose in a life time travelling, or do you think we get them back when we return? LOL ...
