Agia Pelagia, Crete, Greece belphoebeIn this hotel my family and another 3 foreign family were attacked by thief's over the last night just few hours to go home, I was more than disappointing about the security in this place, about the reaction of the authorities and also the attitude of the hotel manager. The police has no reaction and the hotel manager doesn't want to get in contact with me when I informed about the theft , latter one when I succeed to get his e-mail address he went to the Police ...
Hersonissos, Crete, Greece emilianmandaWe are pooped!!!!!

We have been hard core sight seeing since Bologna and are so tired that nothing impresses us any more and we no longer have any desire to look at anything. Luckily this is a nice place with a swimming pool, just what we need to rekindle our energy. Our hotel is nice, one of the nicest we have had on the whole trip and it still cost only 80 Euro's. That's what happens ...
Agia Pelagia, Crete, Greece jasieniukrtw... 7 hours down into the Gorge and spectacular scenery. Even I was impressed with the geology! (Though my knees weren't).
We also made the trip to the Lasithi Plateau to see the cave where Zeus was born. Apparently his mother, Rhea, was getting ticked off that her husband, Saturn, was eating all their babies so when she was pregnant with Zeus she fled to this cave to protect him. It was ...
Koutsounára, Greece njacklin... your socks off but it's a nice enough place..........the water is good......mountain views to boot......some excellent Cretan food (if you can find it)......book cafes........ generally a good place not to do much......but what saves Agios Nickolaus from it's fate as an anywhere Greek beach town is Yannis......a 25 year old rock institution..........and a dead set top contender for ...
Agios Nikolaos, Crete, Greece jamangie... to get us eating at there place. But thankfully they didn't - with exception of one, but you have that evrywhere, don't you? "Hello come into my restaurant. We sell nice food.. fish.. meat.." and they quote the whole menu to you while all you want to do is run away. So in our case not the best way to get us to eat there. That's sounds like rather childish behaviour of us if I read that :/

I just swollowed salt water *Yuck!* The sea was lovely though - many waves!
Agia Pelagia, Crete, Greece belphoebe... apartement. But at last -we didn't think we would ever get there!- we arrived there and sat down exhausted, dripping with sweat, at the pool dipping our feet in the lovely cool water. I almost, almost, jumped in it with all my clothes on and all! After a few minutes Eve decided to get busy and clean the pool and tried to get bugs and leaves out of it with a fsihing net. When back at our aprtment we ...
Agia Pelagia, Crete, Greece belphoebe... Eve is more determined and says firmly 'no'. Despite that they are helpful pointing out the bus stop. We travel by bus to Heraklion center - buying a postcard for Tini and myself and thereby picking up the courage to aks the shop girl which bus we should take to Agia Pelagia. After discussing it with granddad she sent us along the road to the port bus station ...
Agia Pelagia, Crete, Greece belphoebe... fire plan' club before departure on the next ferry in case of fire. I don't know what it really is or how it is used but I'll get some respect wielding that in case of an emergency! After a refreshing sleep in a mercifully quiet room I was ready to face Iraklio, the capital of Crete, which is Greece's largest island. The centre of town is pretty ...
