      ... a place where it is, I could not have picked a better location to live in, in San Miguel....It is about a 10 minute walk to the San Miguel Central Plaza, the Jardin, a 5 minute walk to the San Juan de Dios Mercado, the largest Mexican market area in San Miguel,and a 5 minute walk to San Antonio Ancha (street), which is a street similar to Elgin St. and the market area in Ottawa, with many restaurants, hotels, the Instituto Allende, art school, etc. ...

      ... we headed to Santuario Sierra Chincua (the smaller of the 2 butterfly sanctuaries). The scenery was absolutely stunning. Green fields, amazing pine forests with tall majestic trees, and endless skies.

      Hiking upp through the forest was heavenly, this sort of environment is where I am the happiest! If the hike is too much for you, this is also at an altitude of approximately 3000 meters, you can rent horses ...

      ... We also both enjoy competitive sports (she is an amazing marathon runner), and love international living (we both did a semester abroad in college).       Maybe it is the open air living of a high desert climate and sunny skies almost everyday that I will crave the most.

      No, most importantly, I will miss the warm spirit of the friendly people from San Miguel (especially Francisca, Barnabe, Walter, Sandra, Sylvia, Roddy, and Anjelica). I have found some truly endearing and giving people the past three months.
