... our plates and tasting a few bites – but it looked like two mad dogs had chowed down and not so much a delightful photograph.

Later in our visit, we checked out the “Blue Iguana” which is a hidden gem in the downtown area. We are told by locals that family members from the Red Iguana spun off this venue over some family squabbles. The food was good – but not quite the level of its close relative.

... ones over a very widespread area. The Great Salt Lake is gigantic. I think it is around 4500 square km, nearly 10 times that of Lake Taupo! What is strange though is that it is very salty, not fresh water (as the name eludes to) yet another lake right beside it is fresh water. Even Hoop didn't have an answer for that one. It's been over forty years since that field trip, but it's really stuck with me for several reasons, but the primary one concerns what the Mormons did after their leader Joseph Smith and his brother were killed in the nearby town of Carthage.
