    On the subject of probably the most gifted genius that ever walked on the earth, my next visit was Amboise.Leonardo da Vinci lived near the Chateau, at a manor house called Clos Luce, for the last three years of his life.     ... hotel that does not open on Sunday. We took the car along to the depot and found that there was a box on the side of the building where keys could be left if the office was not open. We were just about to leave the car and keys when two men came out of the office - they were doing a bit of extra work and saw us and we were able to hand the keys over to them and they put the car away. Phew!!!!
    Tomorrow morning we catch the train back to London.

    So the journey begins!

    We encountered a traffic jam as we entered Plymouth and the last few miles were at snail’s pace. We got to the hotel early so we left the car in the hotel carpark and walked into the centre of the city to collect the train tickets for our journey to London on Monday.
