        ... were quite even so not too difficult, you just had to be careful – and remember to look at the view every now and again. The donkeys were much bigger than the ones at Lindos and in about three places on the steps they were strung out resting, I’m not surprised because it would be a big trek up to the top.         ... an easy task! If I lived here I would be doing a check list every day to make sure I did not have to come back home for anything! It is a Mission and not a co-incidence that there were no gyms in obvious view on this part of the island so far!)

        We happily sat down and ordered a local pizza, Yvonne had a salad, and the boys a Yellow Donkey Beer, with the a message on the back label... "Hip Hoppy Kick-Ass Ale"... they said it tasted ok.... Me I found a new drink, the locals drink. Ouzo, water and ice... Yummo... loved it.

        ... island. To the north was Oia, expensively situated for cruise and luxury seeking tourists. While this is not our style, it was fun to see and we found some very high quality art and architecture - beyond our budget but appreciated nonetheless. We also walked along the caldera cliff to catch some great viewpoints and exercise. We returned to Thira on the eastern side of the island to get a good view of the flat rural area and sea coast.
