    Crossing the
Stateline into Florida we were hoping for a little warmer weather than we had
    been experiencing.

    Taking the
alternate route Highways 90 & 98 rather than the very busy Interstate 10
Highway, we found ourselves winding along the shores of the Gulf of
Mexico. More white sands and blue
waters made it a very pleasant trip.

... another state park in a more densely populated area. Glad we chose this one as it has been restful. The first 3 days we had sunny albeit cold weather. As the cold front began to recede north, it has warmed up into shirtsleeve weather and, in fact, as the storm front built up last night from the south, the temp was 67 this morning when we woke up. ... I'd lapped up enough sun I went back to camp and hung around the pool for a while, basically dozed on and off. It was absolutely perfect. Before supper we walked back to the beach to watch the sunset and were definitely not disappointed. The oranges and pinks were ere vibrant and gorgeous. So there were lots of pictures taken and fun to be had and of course sand thrown everywhere. At supper there was lots of comparisons about who's sunburn was the worst but very ...

... and marshmallows. He got a few of them to jump but it wasn't anything super spectacular. The swamp was absolutely stunning in parts, when we pulled off the main river into the little streams it was like another world entirely. Basically had entered Narnia. On the way out we saw a big alligator possibly between 8 and 10 feet. This one jumped pretty high and it was very impressive compared to the others. Once the tour finished up we ate lunch in the car park there ...
