Great views across Haad Salad Bay, large room and bathroom, lovely bigwindows so as you wake up the view is spectacular and great balcony with hammok. Food is good and reasonable price and resort is quiet with some cheap food outlets and beach bars.

... start clear of the water and finish clear of the water, so, following the same rules, Bryan had swam to shore before starting off.

We watched the two flashing green lights attached to Bryan’s trunks and goggles get closer to the shore. Then we saw them come up out of the water and disappear as Bryan turned around on the shore to face the sea.

Sandy (or Smiley Sandy as he likes to be known) sounded the horn and the ...

We leave the hol at about 9:45 and head to the ferry terminal. Our 11:00 am ferry is, predictably running a bit late! it arrives at 11:20 and we leave at about 11:30. Once at Koh Samui we find a taxi to the Airport and after checking in we settle down in their open air lounge which is completed with refreshments and soft drinks.

The flight is on time and we arrive at Bangkokahead of schedule. We than have to walk from more than 1 km to the transfer ...

... the first it was a lot more relaxed and I like this quieter part (even if still touristy) a lot more. I could have scoured the other side and gone to view points but I never had time. However I shall be back to complete my advanced divers and then I truly will be Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Only regret if the trip that the photographer didn't wake up when we did and so no underwater shots but in phi phi even if I just do snorkelling I'm taking me some photos of the under sea ...

... was sweaty work so we locked our bikes at each view point and walked to a cafe nearby. Every view point was a hard slog up steep winding slopes however we were always rewarded with stunning views and ice cold drinks. After just a couple of hours we found ourselves paying to get to the highest point on the island. Happy with our achievements we set out to a stunning bay with crystal clear water for some pad Thai and a sit down. During the bike ride Kate was ...

    ... Diving.

On the first dive, my Deep Dive, I descended more than 78 ft (24m) underwater. The warm, tropical ocean got cool and dark--something I hadn't really experienced on previous dives, where I wasn't certified to go below 18m (60ft).

The second required dive was Navigation, which basically meant using a compass underwater to navigate. I don't have much to report back for this dive, except that our dive instructor was "attacked" by a trigger fish--a ...
