Had a lovely evening in the center of Madrid viewing all the Christmas lights. In Plaza Mayor there is a fantastic Nativity scene all hand made. This was followed by a nice meal and a few Vinos in a restaurant called Venta el Buscon. It specializes in huge steaks, too much for us so we had the prawns. Woke up to a sunny but cold Madrid. Left the …

night we stayed up till 7am to greet Real Madrid home with their 10th European
Cup championship. We were part of history, and it was one of the coolest

Monique and Rory now move onto a different schedule than us so it will unfortunately be the last time we see them on this tour, except for hopefully bumping into Rory at Oktoberfest. We took a while to walk back up to our hostel, as the Gay Pride festivities were in full swing, and it was ...

... to purchase a ticket – luckily enough however our youthful innocent begging faces got let off the hook after a lot of persuasion, and we even managed to get the train ride for free! So all in all it was a ridiculous gong show, but we did manage to get home in time, and we did manage to do it cheaply!

Spain was a blast! We had way too many jugs of Sangria and Tinto, along with numerous dishes of Paella and Tapas. We soaked up the sun, ...
