Ahhh... My Birthday! Today I woke up with Caz jumping on me ad smothering me with kisses. What a great start to the day. Though it was a tad freaky when she told me that she had been watching me sleep, waiting for me to wake up for a while. Haha, just kidding Caz!! Last night we stayed at a really cool hostel, it was very modern and had great rooms. We stayed in a room with only 4 beds in it, it had free internet, breakfast and the rooms were huge. Last night we met up with one of Cazza's mat...
Madrid, Madrid, Spain and Canary Islands kbcon2We got up early this morning, especially to the mornings that we are used to having, and went down and took full advantage of the free breakfast. There was an array of cereals to choose from (hello!) and I had some of the coco pops impersonators, cornflakes and muesli. There was this ****** orange juice and 3 other different kinds of juices that ALL tasted exactly the same and that taste was just flavoured water. Grose. But the breakfast was quite extravagant. I think im just easy to please t...

night. Just when I think I´ve arrived I realize I have only just begun.
However, I do not hae any regrets. Talk about a sobbering moment, my
mind goes back to april, facing my giant of the stairmaster working to
lose some weight and seeing my exhusbands face flash across fox news.

... We are certain that it is a great boon to the local economy but more importantly it is muy divertido. Jen spent hours exploring the myriad of ways we could part with our money in exchange for something delightful or yummy. We did actually go into quite a few bars/cafes/restaurants while we were here. It's that sort of place and we were in search of the ultimate tapas experience. We probably didn't find the ultimate, but we found some really great spots serving delicious ...
Madrid, Spain jenandjeffmilum... off guard by charging him and flipping him on his back.. then on his face. Still, he gets up (this guy is unstoppable) , face to sequins to shoes ...coated in bull blood, and continues waving his cape in the bulls face. Now, the bull has nearly run out of energy.. clearly on his last straw. A NEW sequin man comes out, this one holding a huge sword wrapped in a RED cape. Now is his turn to play the bull. The show comes to an end when the ...
Madrid, Spain krystiemclellan... and even get their shot at stabbing it and marking it with the long knifes with streamers on the end that stay in the animal once they are imbedded in it. After the bull is sufficiently worn and angry and stabbed, these rodeo clowns make way for the REAL matador, the bigshot who is to go head-to-head with the animal. Initially, the matador comes out just with the cape and some long knifes with streamers on the end. And everytime one knife sticks in the bull, the crowd ...
Madrid, Spain trg7... party atmosphere (Berlin, Munich and London had the best nightlife), lots of tourists to mingle with and lots of sunshine (typically 5am to 10.30pm across the continent). However, the negatives such as limited air-conditioning, over-inflated prices, poor Aussie-Euro exchange rate, phenomenal crowds and queues makes for a balanced experience. As I´ve mentioned in previous travelpods, I doubt that I will return to Europe in the summer. I´ve had the ...
Madrid, Spain shanewilson... I turned around and it was none other but J-Lopez. ARGH. She is not as tall as I thought she was...Spanish people are short. But yes, it was J-Lo. Fab. I was really excited, but I said sorry and ran out of the store fast from embarrassment. Walking around Rome that night, I kept bursting out laughing from the flashbacks of the experience. LOL. I need some Zzzzzzzs but I must stay awake a little longer so I don't miss my train. I only have another hour until it gets here.
Victoria, Spain nessamilan... s loose-fitting robe that covers his body, a jellaba, selling for about $100. The Moroccan guides are all men and all wear this robe usually with pants and shirts underneath. A lot of us are happy to relax at the pool in the afternoon, and then we have dinner with entertainment. The first performer is a belly dancer; many people will think the one we see the next night at our hotel is better. She is followed by a man who balances trays of drinks, and then teaches one of the younger ...
